Well, I went and saw The Village on saturday night.
Normally I try and avoid going to see movies while under the influence of criminal narcotics, but I had been under the impression that all of my peoples had been off doing various other things that night, and so had smoked two cones, with the intention of going for a ride on my bike. Then it started raining, so I sat down to watch Bedknobs & Broomsticks, and then I got distracted and called ET, expecting him to be in Sydney, but he was in Brisbane. I was like, "What the fuck are you doing in Brisbane?"
He was on a ferry.
Having cleared that up, I considered calling Eli to make sure he was still in Hobart, but then got distracted further and called SteveSteve, forgetting that he had other plans. As it turned out, I had been wrong. He didn't. He said to me, "Wanna go see The Village?" I thought, "Why the hell not?"
The Village, man. While I was watching it I was thinking... Is it just me, and my two cones, or is this movie feeling a little disjointed.
But then SteveSteve confirmed it upon the film's completion. Having nothing else to do, we went back to my place and collected more drugs and drove out of town a little bit to consume them on his boot, then retreating to his car when it began to rain, whereupon we had some sort of fucked up conversation about something. All I can remember is that SteveSteve became incredibly paranoid about people outside the car.
I didn't do anything to alleviate this paranoia, at one point thinking I saw someone too, and going, "Holy Fucking Jesus Fucking Christ."
At this point we launched a pre-emptive attack on further paranoia and returned to the bright lights of Warragul, whereupon we decided to call it an evening.
But Father's Day, man. Despite my telling this cat that the best Father's Day present was a powertool with heaps of cool spiky shit glued on, my dad got a gift voucher for the newsagents, which I figure is what I probably would have got if it had been Son's Day.
Malika Salaam.
